Annual Report 2003 of the Danida IPM Farmer Training Project

Abstract:

The National IPM Programme (NIPM) is active in 14 provinces with support from government, donors, international organisations and NGOs. During 2003 469 Farmer Field Schools (FFS), with 13,495 farmers, 44 % , were implemented with support from Danida IPM (192), APIP/IPM (156), SEILA (42), FAO Vegetable IPM (22), UNICEF (15), Bilateral Projects (6) and NGOs (36). Through World Education 102 Student Field Schools were held involving 3,009 students.

The major outputs of the Danida IPM Project were as follows:
- Strengthening the National IPM programme and training of trainers
- Monitoring and Impact Assessment
- Development and improvement of FFS curricula
- Farmer trainers and FFS
- Community IPM
