Comprehensive School Health and Nutrition: Report of the sub-regional Workshop

One response to the FRESH (Focusing Resources on Effective School Health) initiative is the "Collaborative School Health/School Feeding Programme" funded by the Japanese Funds-in-Trust (JFIT). The aim is to build capacities in the area of school health and nutrition in Cambodia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Thailand and Viet Nam, and to ensure that comprehensive school-based health and nutrition issues are adequately addressed in the national Education for All (EFA) plans.

This report of the sub-regional workshop hosted by the Thai government offers a good example of a well-planned and managed activity for a JFIT-supported inter-agency, intersectoral co-operative project.
