Improving Livelihood of Small Farmer in Tramkak – Annual Report April 2003 to March 2004

Abstract:

In 2001, CEDAC initiated a one year pilot project in 11 villages in Tramkok District, Takeo Province. In January 2003, with the support of JICA, the project expanded to 60 villages. The focus of the activity is to promote ecological agriculture technology through farmer-to-farmer extension and association building. The long term goal of the project is to secure sustainable livelihood for small landholders. The project aims to achieve the following: (1) About 3000 farmers are able to improve their net income by 50% from improved access to technical and social innovation, agricultural marketing and credit, (2) Farmer associations are set up and confederation of farmer association is established at the district level.
