Title:

Potential of Line & Distance technique for Rice Planting in CFFS Project.

Abstract:

Line & Distance technique (LDT) in rice crop production is an off-shoot of a package of rice improvement techniques called the System of Rice Intensification (SRI). A key element of SRI is to maximize rice yields through water management techniques and minimum inputs. Considering the limitations of implementing labor-intensive SRI in flood-prone areas of CARE Cambodia’s CFFS project area, introducing only one element of SRI, line & distance, was considered more appropriate.
