Final Narrative Report: Post Emergency Project For Vulnerable Population in the Depressed Communes Of Koas Kralor and Mong RusseAbstract:
The overall objectives of this project were:
- To improve basic living condition for the most vulnerable population of five communes in Koas Kralor district and two communes of Mong Russey district, following the severe drought 2001 and 2002.
The Specific Objectives were:
- To increase household nutritional intakes in the targeted area. It completed five main activities:
--Set up rice yield assessment.
--Training farmers on short term rice and seed distribution to 500 vulnerable families/drought victims.
--Set up a network of 50 Rice Farmer Promoters.
--Training farmers on cash-crop cultivation and seed distribution to 2,000 vulnerable families/drought victims.
--Set up a network of 100 Cash-crop Farmer Promoters.
