National Introduction and Awareness-Raising Meeting of the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC)Event detail:
The Council for Agricultural and Rural Development, the World Food Programme, OXFAM (GB), CARE International in Cambodia, the EC-FAO Food Security Programme, Linking Information and Action to improve Food Security are joinly organising a National Introduction and Awareness-Raising Meeting of the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) on Wednesday, 10 November 2010, 08:30 to 12:00, Phnom Penh Hotel, Cambodia. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) provides global standards and protocols for food security analysis and classification using a food security severity scale.
The overall objective of this event is to introduce the IPC and engage partners and stakeholders in a dialogue on What is the IPC? What is its added value? How is it used? How does it fit with other systems and initiatives? and How can it be applied? This event will be facilitated by international experts and IPC practitioners from the multi-agency IPC Global Support Unit (GSU).
