The Consultation Meeting on Climate Change Risks and Food Security

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in collaboration with key government stakeholders and the Regional Integrated Multi-hazard Early Warning System (RIMES) is jointly organizing the consultation meeting on "Climate Change Risks and Food Security" to be held on 12 August 2011 at HlMA WARI Hotel Apartments.

 

The objectives of the meeting are to:

  • share a review of historical trends and climate change, identifying information that can be used for

stakeholders in food security;

  • discuss current climate risk management strategies and future plans of climate-sensitive sectors
  • identify and reach consensus on key issues and set directions for future work.
