Workshop on Progress of the Nutrition Component of the FAO European Union Food Facility Project

FAO EUFF Project “Improve the food security of farming families affected by volatile food prices – GCP/CMB/033/EC” has been formulated to support small-scale interventions at the community level. The major project components include sustainable crop production water management and post harvest activities; vegetable production; fisheries and nutrition, supported by capacity building and policy development.The overall objective of the nutrition component of the project is to improve dietary diversity and family feeding practices, starting with Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), of rural populations affected by the volatile food prices, who are currently benefiting from FAO EU Food Facility Project support for food security enhancement. the workshop will be held on 8th April 2011 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at FAO Representation Conference Room #5 street 370 Boeun Keng Kang I Khan Chamca Mon Phnom Penh


The objectives of the workshop are to:

  • Update progress on nutrition component of the project,
  • Present the project approach, achievements and lessons learnt in relation to nutrition; and
  • Get feedback from stakeholders toward the improvement and linkage of nutrition intervention activities.
