Study Tour on Strengthening Capacity Building for Integrated Food Security Programming in Cambodia

The Council for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD) of the Royal Government of Cambodia, in collaboration with FAO representation in Cambodia and Afghanistan, and with the support of the Regional Project on “Strengthening Capacity Building for Integrated Food Security Programming” (GCP/AFG/056/GER), is organizing a Study Tour on Strengthening Capacity Building for Integrated Food Security Programming in Cambodia from 04 to 07 October 2010 in Cambodia for high level delegates from Afghanistan.

 

The objectives of the study tour are:

  1. To understand how to strengthen food security and nutrition aspects in sector plans and the role of coordination in combating the prevalence of under- and malnourishment in the country,
  2. To learn about and understand Cambodia’s experience in institutional arrangements and management of food security and nutrition issues, the coordination among various sectors in the area in terms of information sharing and dissemination, and
  3. To learn about food security capacity building management and other related coordination approaches for capacity development in Cambodia
