Training Course on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN)News detail:
The Council for Agricultural and Rural development (CARD) in close cooperation with Food Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) under the framework of FAO-Multidonor Partnership Programme-(FMPP) is going to conduct a Training Course on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN) at district and commune level from 06-11 July 2009 in four pilot districts namely, Daun Keo, Kirivong, Smaraung and Traing of Takeo province. Participants are key facilitators from districts and commune councilors who working on the upcoming Commune Investment Plan (CIP) preparation in communes of the four districts.
The main purpose of the training is to offer key district facilitators and commune councilors on the following:
- To creating awareness on FSN concept and importance of the crosscutting issue for poverty reduction and development
- To know about the analysis of FSN situation, assessment and formulation of FSN actions in any planning processes
- To identify intervention strategies/action for better mainstreaming FSN into the commune investment plans (CIPs)
