Project Description

Goal:  To contribute to the reduction in morbidity and mortality of infants and children under five years of age and maternal morbidity and mortality in the World Vision target areas.

Strategic Objectives:

1.     Increase access to essential health services for children and their caregivers

2.     Improve nutrition of pregnant and lactating women and children under two years of age

3.     Improve access to information and services for Prevention of PMTCT of HIV infection

4.     Increase access to  sustainable improved water sources{comma} safe drinking water and sanitation

5.     Mobilize local authorities to provide resources to support community workers to deliver preventive maternal and child health services at community level

Nutrition activities are:

  • Vitamin  A round 2 times a year
  • BFCI TOT and support in the community
  • Multiple Micronutrient Powders
  • MPA 10
  • C-IMCI
  • Iodized salt
  • Iron and Folic Acid
  • Severe Acute Malnutrition
  • Growth assessment
